Step 1: Create a form template

The first step is to create a new form template or import one of the ready-made templates. To do this, go to the form designer. A template is created in 3 steps:

  • Step 1: Edit form template: drag and drop the desired fields from right to the left form area to the desired position. Now open its settings by clicking on it and make the settings. At the very least, you must give each element a name.
  • Step 2: General settings: Here you can specify the names for the save and export process. If you do not make any entries here, default names will be used. You can therefore also adjust these settings later.
  • Step 3: Here you can specify the email that should be sent automatically after sending the filled form: specify text, attachment (PDF / Word) and recipients.

You can find detailed instructions for all 3 steps in the help section for the form designer.

Step 2: Fill out and send the form via the app

When using the mobile app: Install the free Formtastic app (iOS or Android) on your device and log in. Create a new form based on your template. Fill it out and then click “Send”. You should now receive an email according to the template settings.

When using the web interface: Go to the overview and click on “Create form”. Select your newly created form template. Fill it out and then click on “Send”. You should now receive an email according to the template settings. Instead of sending, you can also download the PDF directly here.
