Quick guide in 3 steps
Up and running in minutes: this guide shows you the direct path from your first login to a completed, submitted form – whether on a smartphone, tablet or in the browser.
Step 1: Create a form template
Open the Form Designer and create a new template – or import one of the ready-made examples. A template is created across 3 steps:
- Step 1 – Add fields: Drag and drop the desired elements (input fields, photo, signature, etc.) from right to left into your form area. Click on an element to give it a name and configure its settings.
- Step 2 – General settings: Set file names and other options for the export. If you leave this blank, default values are used automatically – you can adjust this at any time.
- Step 3 – Email & export: Decide whether an email should be sent automatically after submission – including the message text, attachment (PDF or Word) and recipients.
Full details on all 3 steps are available in the Form Designer section. An optional Step 4 is available for multilingual forms.
Step 2: Install the app and log in
Download the free Formtastic app to your smartphone or tablet: App Store (iOS) · Google Play (Android). Log in with your credentials – your form templates from Step 1 are available immediately.
Step 3: Fill out and send the form
In the app: Tap "Create form", select your template and fill out the form. After tapping "Send", the finished PDF is automatically emailed to the recipients – exactly as configured in Step 1.
In the browser: Click "Create form" in the overview, select your template and fill it out. You can download the result directly as a PDF or send it by email.
