Import form data bundled using an Excel file
The import function lets you import data from Excel into Formtastic in bulk – each row of the Excel table becomes a pre-filled form in the inbox. This makes it easy to prepare customer orders with address data already filled in and assign them directly to team members, without creating each form individually.
Imported forms appear in the Inbox folder and can be further edited or assigned to other users from there.
How the import works
Go to Tools → Import forms in the menu and select the form template on which the forms should be based. Download the import-template.xlsx, enter your data row by row below the column headers and upload the completed file.
Recommendation: Test the import with a few rows first to make sure the data is transferred correctly.
Column #_recipient_# (last column): Optionally enter the email address of the user to whom the respective form should be assigned. This feature is available in the Enterprise plan. In other plans, this column can simply be left empty.
