Create forms

Once the form template has been created and configured, you can start filling it out. Use either the web interface or the free Formtastic app for iOS or Android (which can be downloaded from the AppStore or Google Playstore).

Fill in via the web interface

On the overview page you can click the “Create form” button and select one of your in the form designer created form templates. The fields can now be filled in here step by step just like in the mobile apps.

To save the entered data but not send it yet, click “Draft” at the bottom. The form will then be in the in-work folder and can be further edited or assigned to other users at any time.

To send the entered data according to the export settings in your template, click on “Send”. This completes the form input and starts the process defined in the template settings (PDF/Word export, email sending, SFTP upload).

Fill in via the mobile app (Android & iOS)

Open the Formtastic app on your device and if you haven’t already done so, log in. Click on “New” at the top and select the desired form template. The fields can now be filled in step by step.

Click on “Save” to save the form. The form is then located in the in-work folder and can be further edited or assigned to other users at any time.

Click “Send” to finalize the form input and start the sending process defined in the template settings, including email sending.

Click on “Assign” (only available in the Enterprise price plan) to assign the form to another user for further processing. The form will then be in your Assigned folder and the other user’s Inbox folder.
