Using group elements

In the form designer there are input elements, group elements, structure elements and special elements available. The following list explains all group elements and their specific setting options:

1. Group

Groups related fields together to create a clear and organized form structure.

Layout in the app: The fields within a group are displayed below each other by default in the mobile app (Android / iOS). With a single tap on the toggle icon, they can also be displayed side by side. In the browser view, the arrangement is always side by side.

2. Expandable group

Allows a set of fields to be duplicated as many times as needed – for example for recurring entries such as defects or line items.

Layout: Fields within an expandable group are displayed below each other – in contrast to the table, where fields appear side by side as columns.

3. Table

Allows any number of data records to be added row by row – ideal for lists, measurements or line items.

Columns: The fields created in a table are displayed side by side and form the table columns. Not only input fields can be used, but also all other field types such as selection fields and calculations.
